Thank you Fuji…
With January and February being two of the quietest months for wedding photographers, it’s a good time for me to reflect on the year gone by and prepare for the year ahead. It’s great because I get to spend more time with the beautiful ladies in my life and annoy them with my newest camera ahead of my first wedding of 2016.
I’ve been using Fujifilm X-series cameras since the summer (a little late to the party!) and I can honestly say they’ve changed my wedding photography to the point that I have literally started again from scratch. I was very much a “traditional” wedding photographer before hand but they really have injected a new lease of life into my approach.
I’ve primarily been using the Fujifilm X-T1 but with the battery grip and 56mm lens attached its not the smallest camera going. The X-E2 has been my second camera , it’s small but not as quiet as the X-T1 and I didn’t find it as accurate when using the focus assist. My latest toy however, the X100T is small, silent and extremely fast and accurate when focusing. I can really see this camera helping with my unobtrusive “real people, real moments” approach to wedding photography.
I thought I’d share some shots from the first day spent using the Fujifilm X100T. I’d like to say a little thank you to Fujifilm for producing some amazing cameras and I’m absolutely buzzing for the year ahead!
